Punta Cana offers the tourist many opportunities to enjoy. Here a few good tips to consider when traveling to Punta Cana:
- At home study the different tours and resorts available to you before leaving for your trip.
- Make sure you are well prepared for all of the activities you have planned to engage in such as using your own equipment for water sports.
- Learn a few basic terms in the native language that's spoken in Punta Cana.
- If you love horseback riding, ask around at the resort you're staying if there's horseback riding available. You can generally take trail rides which last for about 2 hours through the wooded areas.
- Be prepared to take your camera along with you so can catch unforgettable pictures of gorgeous sunrises.
- If you love water sports like snorkling, it's a great idea to bring your own mask and snorkle from home.
- Consider a very laxing massage under the small palapas located along the beach in front of the resort area.
- Arrange a tour at your hotel where you're staying to visit Manati Park for a fine day trip off the resort. You will enjoy all sorts of animals such as Flamingos, Toucans, Crocodiles, to Iguanas. This park also has a display of Taino Artifacts.
- Strongly consider renting an ATV. It's a great way to move about off the resort. Wear sunscreen, bath suit, and carry your camera.
- Spare some time to stop and watch a fascinating display that's put on by a group of Taino; the display includes a mix of singing, dancing, and chanting.
